Robert Mead
Robert Mead
Chief Executive Officer & President
Chief Executive Officer and President, Robert Mead, graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Health Care Administration and has been in the business for over 25 years. Robert is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and previously licensed as a Health Care Risk Manager. He also is trained as an Assisted Living Administrator. Every building Mr. Mead has run has been superior rated or 5 star rated with the State of Florida and Medicare. In 1999, Mr. Mead opened Osprey Point Nursing Center for Health Care Managers. Osprey won a number of awards and was deficiency free for several years. During his tenure at Osprey Point, the facility received the coveted 5 star rating each year. After his tenure as administrator at Osprey Point, he was promoted to Regional Vice President and then to Chief Operating Officer in 2006. Robert has been instrumental in directing the operations with a fantastic regulation history as well as financial success for our investors. His vision in combining both great care with financial achievement has lead the facilities to be the top facilities in that region. In February of 2019, Robert took the mantel of CEO and President.
Steven W. Sell
Steven W. Sell
Founder & Director
Founder and Director, Steven W. Sell, has resided in the north Florida area since 1972. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of North Texas. Has done graduate work at the University of North Florida and New York Institute of Finance. After serving in the U.S. Navy for four years, Sell began employment with Dean Witter and Co. as a stockbroker. In 1981 he changed careers and became head of the commercial real estate department of ERA Dan Jones and Assoc. During his tenure, he was recognized in the National Winners Circle of ERA. In October 1984, he founded Health Care Management for the purpose of owning and developing nursing homes.

He negotiated the purchase of Rosewood Nursing Home and Hillard Manor Certificate of Need following a failed attempt by the previous owners to complete the project in Hillard. A similar effort was accomplished in Lake City. Other facilities started from the ground up include Osprey Point in Bushnell, Florida, Amelia Trace Assisted Living in Fernandina Beach, Mission Oaks Assisted Living in Oxford, Florida and a newly organized home health agency in Jacksonville. Steve is still highly involved with HCM.

Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer, Betsy Mead, 2003 graduated from Pasco-Hernando Community with a Associates of Science in Nursing-Registered Nurse, 2005 graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, 2010 Walden University graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing-Management and Leadership, 2017, graduated with a Master of Healthcare Administration. She has certifications in Medical Surgical and Certified Nurse Manager Leader. She also has affiliations with American Organizations of Nurse Executives and Tampa Bay Organization of Nurse Executives. In 2019 out of 28,400 employees, Betsy received the Daisy Nurse Leader Award an international award that recognizes nurse leaders that provide an environment for providing high quality care and compassion to their patients.

Betsy started off as a C.N.A. in a skilled nursing facility and moved into the acute care industry. From Floor Nurse to Director of Patient Care Services of a St. Joseph’s hospital (600+ beds). She was responsible for over 11 units and had over 500 FTEs under her leadership. She has held leadership positions in Collaboratives across BayCare Hospital Organization and lead many initiatives to improve efficiency, procedures, quality and customer service in different areas for the corporation. Betsy brings a wealth of knowledge from the acute care sector to help with the challenges of the Senior Care Industry to deal with the higher acuity heading to our business.

Ivonne Burrell

Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer, Ivonne Burrell, has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Miami, and a Master of Business Administration from Barry University. She started her career in accounting over 30 years ago. She has worked as Controller in both the public and private business sectors from manufacturing to retail, and health care. Her technical training has been an asset to efficiently program and implement numerous software systems while thoroughly understanding the business model. She began her employment as CFO for Health Care Managers in 2004 after relocating to North Florida from Miami, FL. All accounting department employees report directly to her as well as the Regional Business Officer. She reviews and presents all financial statements for each of the facilities managed by Health Care Managers, the corporate office, and any subsidiary. She implements and reviews all cash management systems for the facilities. Is involved in all audits, and cost reports. Negotiates insurance contracts including very aggressive benefits for all the employees at the managed facilities. She is also responsible for any regulatory compliance of the benefits, taxes, and licenses in addition to all areas of financial impact to the companies.
Annesley Brightwell

Regional Business Officer
Regional Business Officer, Annesley Brightwell, graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Accounting and has a post graduate degree in Finance. She began employment in 2000 as a business manager for a 104 bed nursing home under management of HCM. In 2008, she was promoted to her current position. Annesley helps develop business office policies and highly knowledgeable in billing Medicare, Medicaid, Private and all Insurances in the Market. She leads up an aggressive team of Business Office Managers to ensure a healthy cash flow for our senior care facilities.
Rhonda Schultz
Rhonda Schultz
Regional Director of Nursing & Consultant
Regional Director of Nursing and Consultant, Rhonda Schultz, graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island and has worked as a Registered Nurse in Long Term/Skilled Nursing Care, Assisted Living, and Clinical Consulting for 30 years. Rhonda is a licensed Florida Health Care Risk Manager and Infection Preventionist. She joined the Health Care Managers team as the Director of Nursing at one of Health Care Manager’s managed facilities and was promoted in 2013 to her current position. She oversees the daily clinical operations, coordinates continuous improvement projects with the facility Nursing Directors, establishes and maintains nursing policies and procedures, monitors, educates, maintains all clinical programs and documents for the electronic health records, and oversees Quality Assurance Performance Improvement for the nursing departments.

Health Care Managers employs a number of team members that perform the accounting functions for the managed facilities. This includes all A/P entries of invoices, credits, check or ACH payments. Payroll processing, and HR assistance as needed by the facilities’ HR Managers. Bank reconciliations as well as all GL entries necessary to produce month-end financials. In addition, they maintain meticulous records for any future audit purposes.
